Why is dentistry so expensive, and why is it not available on NHS?
At Dental Elements, we understand that for many of us, accessing dental care can be tricky and expensive!
We believe everyone should have access to the best dentistry at an affordable price. So today, we’re taking time to explore why getting good dental care is so important and why it’s not always available on the NHS. From pricing structures to government regulations, one of our main goals at Dental Elements is making sure you’re aware of what kinds of services are available and being open about how much they cost.
We know it can be hard to afford proper dental treatment, so we provide gentle treatments at an invaluable price point with something for everyone in Leatherhead. Read on if you want to find out more about our commitment to unequalled service when it comes to your oral health.
The Cost of Dentistry vs Other Medical Treatments
It’s no secret that private medical treatments can come with a hefty price tag, and dentistry can be no exception. For many, the cost of private dental procedures can seem overwhelming and may even deter some patients from seeking necessary care.
However, it’s important to remember that neglecting dental health can lead to even more costly and painful issues down the road. It’s worth considering the value of investing in preventative measures and timely treatments for dental problems. While it may seem daunting, many dental practices, like us here at Dental Elements, offer dental payment plans and financing options to help make the cost of care more manageable. Remember, we are here to help you achieve good oral health without breaking the bank, so don’t let financial concerns hold you back from getting the care you need.
Understanding NHS Funding Limitations
The NHS provides exceptional care to millions of individuals every year, but it’s no secret that the organisation faces significant funding limitations.
Despite the hard work, dedication and expertise of the dental healthcare professionals working within it, the NHS cannot provide limitless care to each and every patient that walks through its doors.
This reality may be frustrating for some, but it’s important to note that funding limitations are a universal challenge faced by healthcare providers around the globe. By understanding these limitations, we can work together to find creative solutions to ensure that we can make our dental care affordable so our NHS can continue to prioritise and provide the highest possible quality of care to all who need it for years.
Our NHS list is full.
Due to the limitations of NHS funding, Dental Elements is, unfortunately, unable to take on any new NHS patients at this time. We understand that this may be disappointing news, but we have been allocated a very limited NHS contract, which means a very long wait time for our current NHS patient appointments.
However, we do have some helpful resources to offer:
We always suggest checking out nhs.uk “find a dentist” section, which lists all the practices in our area that have an NHS contract. Please be aware that even if a practice is listed, they indeed may be in the same position and may not have the capacity to take on new patients – just like ourselves.
Despite this, we are always looking at ways to help patients fund their private appointments to our patients, and currently, our Dental Health Care Plan is honestly the most cost-effective way of getting private dentistry without breaking the bank!
Don’t let financial concerns hold you back from getting the care you need.
More about our Dental Health Plan
While it’s true that private dental care might be associated with higher costs, Dental Elements have come up with a canny way to help with cost savings, and the costs are similar to a Netflix subscription.
By joining our Dental Health Plan ( £19 per month), you will receive a check-up and have a professional clean twice a year; we can then focus on preventative care and catching dental issues early and avoid more expensive treatments down the line.
Our Dental Health Plan is easy to join and set up a regular monthly payment, making it easier for patients to manage their budgets. At Dental Elements, you’ll receive excellent care and be treated faster as we have more private appointment availability.
The good news is that those patients who can’t access an NHS dentist don’t have to go without – as we have an alternative!
Making Private treatment affordable for NHS patients
With our Dental Health Care Plan, we make dental care more affordable so that everyone has the opportunity to receive routine check-ups and dental treatments, preventing serious issues down the line.
As much as regular trips to your dentist may feel like a chore or expense, taking care of your teeth is important for overall health. So it’s important to do what you can to keep them healthy now and in the future – whether through making use of NHS services or visiting us here at Dental Elements.
We encourage you to take the time now to familiarise yourself with all Dental care Plan options and find the plan that works best for your budget and lifestyle.
