Our lovely gum dentist
Priya qualified from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2010 and has spent her time both in general practice and hospital settings. Over this time, Priya has developed a keen interest in the treatment of gum disease (Periodontitis) and has completed a rigorous 2-year postgraduate enhanced clinical skills program at the prestigious Kings College London. During this time Priya worked alongside leading periodontal specialists in the UK, where she learnt the importance of a tailored approach to best suit the individual requirements of patients in her care. Alongside this, she acquired the latest clinical techniques that really can help us to keep our teeth for life. In fact, she is our in -house go to dentist for the management of gum disease.
Priya’s approach to care is founded on listening to the needs of her patients, and providing treatment based on this understanding is central to her ethos. Priya prides herself in discussing all your treatment options in an open, friendly, and relaxed manner to help you understand and plan best for your needs. So, if you have ever worried about bleeding gums, loose teeth or are wanting a fresher breath, Priya would be happy to discuss this and provide you with the appropriate recommendations.
Apart from her own professional development, Priya is enthusiastic about education and teaches Periodontology to the next generation of dentists at the world-renowned Kings College London. As a result of her commitment to teaching, Priya has recently been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education and has become a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Priya has also completed her qualification in the Diploma for the Member of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) at the Royal College of Surgeons and both at undergraduate and postgraduate level won many clinical dental awards including the Best Clinical Case Presentation in the Whipps Cross London Postgraduate Dental Deanery.
Priya is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology and frequently attends conferences and study days to keep abreast of the most up to date scientific research in Periodontology.
Outside of dentistry, Priya enjoys spending time with her family, swimming and trying her hand at cooking (and eating!) world cuisines. She loves to explore what she can of the world even if it does mean climbing a mountain or two! Priya very much looks forward to meeting you at Dental Elements.
