How to keep your adult/child’s NHS dental registration at Dental Elements
Unfortunately, you can no longer receive NHS treatment from Dental Elements if you lose your NHS registration. The NHS dental waiting lists are long; it may be some time before you can join another practice. So, we recommend that you protect your registered status.
Here is what to do to keep your NHS registration:
1.Attend all your appointments.
2.Please try to be on time.
3.Please provide us with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel.
4.Always book your next appointment before leaving the surgery.
5.Ensure your contact details are up to date with us.
6.Make sure you visit your dentist regularly (Please don’t leave it for longer than two years).
While most of our patients respect their appointments, patients arriving late or not turning up prevent others from accessing their valued NHS dental care.
The important details:
Attend all appointments.
Dental Elements work under strict COVID regulations and face challenging time restrictions. Whether you are visiting a dentist, hygienist their time is packed full, and you may not get another appointment for a while.
Try to be on time
We would like you to take every step necessary to make sure that you arrive in good time. Due to our protocol pressures, the team will need to be strict about missed appointments and late arrivals. If you need to cancel, please ensure we have at least 24-hour’s notice in advance.
Please note: Two Strike Rule:
Strike 1: After one missed appointment, the reception team will record your non-attendance or late attendance.
Strike 2: If you fail to attend or are late to attend your second appointment, we will ask you to find an alternative arrangement for your NHS dental health.
We will need to see you within 2-years to keep your registration.
Due to the high volume of patients requiring NHS dental treatment, our waiting list has become huge, and so we have no choice but to remove patients who have not attended the practice for two years or more from our NHS data base.
We constantly endeavour to remind patients that they are overdue for their dental examinations. However, unfortunately, many of our communications get returned to us as patients do not update their contact details.
Make sure you book your subsequent dental examination before leaving us.
Our reception team will make your appointment and send you reminders nearer the time.
